About the course
Selecting the appropriate commercial property form requires more than understanding the difference between named perils and all-risk coverage. This course provides Canadian P&C brokers with a practical analysis of the Fire and Extended Coverage Form and the Commercial Broad Form, emphasizing how policy wording, exclusions, and endorsements determine the true scope of protection. Participants will begin by examining the Fire and Extended Coverage Form, learning how named perils coverage operates, the importance of identifying the cause of loss, and the key limitations within the F SWILLER perils. The course then explores the Commercial Broad Form, explaining how all-risk coverage shifts the focus from insured perils to excluded property and excluded causes of loss. Brokers will review common property exclusions. i
