About the course
Builders Risk covers the structure under construction on a replacement cost basis, including materials and landscaping intended for the finished project. Coverage can end at intended occupancy, after thirty days of inactivity, or at expiry, and excludes faulty workmanship and design. Tool and Installation floaters bundle two coverages: Tools (scheduled or blanket with a $2,500 per-item cap, Canada-only, ACV-based, requiring locked vehicle storage) and Installation materials (attaching at unloading, ending thirty days after completion or prolonged inactivity). Contractors Equipment insures scheduled mobile equipment and liable property of others, plus newly acquired equipment for ~90 days. It's Canada-only and excludes mechanical breakdown, theft, and terrain losses — key review points are ACV vs. replacement cost and co-insurance.
