About the Course

No-fault automobile insurance is not the same in every province. This course provides Canadian P&C brokers with a practical comparison of three distinct no-fault models, examining how Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan each balance accident benefits, client choice, litigation rights, and public versus private insurance delivery. Participants will explore Ontario's Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and the impact of recent benefit reforms, Manitoba's public Autopac system and Personal Injury Protection Plan (PIPP), and Saskatchewan's unique hybrid system that allows clients to choose between no-fault and tort coverage. The course highlights the broker's role in identifying coverage gaps, recommending appropriate extension coverage, documenting client decisions, and ensuring clients understand how provincial legislation affects their protection following an automobile accident. Designed for Canadian insurance professionals, this course equips brokers with the knowledge to confidently explain provincial no-fault systems, provide informed advice, and tailor recommendations to each client's financial circumstances and coverage needs.
