About the course

Personal liability losses can extend well beyond the automobile or the home, making it essential for brokers to understand how these coverages work together. This course examines Personal Auto Third Party Liability and Accident Benefits, Homeowners Section II Liability, and Personal Umbrella Liability to provide a comprehensive approach to protecting clients against catastrophic financial loss. You'll learn how Third Party Liability responds when the insured is legally responsible for bodily injury or property damage, while Accident Benefits provide no-fault protection for injuries sustained by the insured and passengers. The course also explores homeowners legal liability, voluntary payment coverages, residence employee benefits, premises liability, and common limitations involving watercraft and motorized vehicles. Finally, you'll examine how Personal Umbrella Liability extends protection above underlying home and auto policies, providing additional limits when severe claims exhaust primary coverage. By the end of this course, you'll be better equipped to identify personal liability exposures, recommend appropriate liability limits, coordinate home and auto protection, and advise clients on the value of umbrella coverage for safeguarding their assets against major claims.
